Staples for every girl... & Review!

Lets get started with this blog thing... ;]

There are certain products that I think EVERY girl should own. So in this edition of "Staples" I will introduce you to the first. Nail polish. Yes, I know... You're probably thinking, "How bait can you get?" but seriously... It's the colours that are most important.

So I have come up with three colours that suit every skin tone and that can pretty much liven a whole outfit.

First of... Navy colour. It's always sophisticated and just looks good on anyone, def. a colour that can be used when your going for a dark look. I just think it looks a lot better than black. Next onto the dark purple... Just like the navy it looks sophisticated and the darkest works best with purple. I just love it. The feminine pink is also a must-have. A dark pink not only looks cute but it helps us girls look a little girly and definatley goes great with our LBD's!

So I went down to Superdrug to make the most of their 3 for 2 deal and bought a couple of these colours for examples to show you! BUT... I've found some great examples and those are linked right with the bullet points. Some are pricey mind you, but we deserve a treat once in a while, right? All of these are available on Ebay for MUCH better prices but it's up to you! I decided to review some by NYC. 3 for 2 at £2.49 each. Pretty good, huh?

From left: Chinatown, Manhatten, Downtown

Although this photo doesn't do the colours any justice they are still great on any skin tone. The blue colour is SUPER shimmery which I wasn't expecting but its great to jazz up any old outfit. I hate the pigmentation of the blue. I had to put on 2 layers till it was opaque. However the pink and purple did not dissapoint. Both highly pigmented with one stroke and buildable. The purple looks best with 2 layers however its up to you... Based on colours... 5/5 Quality... 3/5 Price... 5/5

Overall 4/5! Pretty good for 5 quid though... ;]

Introduction...

Sooo... Hey guys.

This is going to be my blog, hopefully for a long time. ;P
Anywho... I'm known as Effy/Efua. Currently I'm in my first year of sixth-form which is fun, I must say. I'm a born and bred Londoner living in the West of London.

So this blog has been created to talk about fashion, beauty and other randomness that interests me. I must say though I have only just found an interest in these so I am NO professional. ;]

I decided with a new year there is going to be a new me... As cliche as that sounds it is my real aim.. So what better time to start?

Thanks.
